Homecoming Info

Homecoming is Friday, October 3, 2008.

• Alumni Reception at the new high school media center- 10:00-12:00
• Homecoming Parade 12:00- Class of 99 will have a float.
• Parade will start at the new high school and end at the stadium.
• Pep Rally at the stadium following parade. 12:45?
• Football Game at 7:00 PM. Homecoming Court will be introduced pre-game.
• Dinner in the Dugout at Beef O'Brady's on Saturday, October 4th - 7:00 PM

The parade is to start at 12:00 in front of THE NEW high school. It would be a good idea to get there early if you can so you can find us. If you still have your Class of 99 t-shirt -wear it!!!!

There will be an alumni tent set up at the football game on Friday night. I think it will be at the scoreboard end of the stadium. If we all wish to sit together at the game, it would be best if everyone brought a chair, and we could sit somewhere in that area.

I need to know the following information. Please leave a comment below to let me know:

1. Will you be riding in the parade on Friday?
2. Will you be attending dinner at Beef O'Brady's on Saturday night?

Update

I got a copy of the 2008 football schedule today, and homecoming is on Oct. 3rd. That moves the reunion up a week! I hope that doesn't interfere with anyone's plans. I also still need a lot of contact information. I read a comment in a previous post that made me think we might need to change our Saturday night location. Does anyone have any ideas? There aren't many choices in Andalusia.

Also, congrats to Britton and Todd. She's gonna look mighty cute in my wedding. Be sure to vote on the poll!

Guess who just became a daddy??

Congrats to Carl Clark and his wife, Faith, on the birth of their beautiful daughter, Amalia Katherine. She really is gorgeous, and if I can get permission from Carl, I'll post a picture of her too! I'm sorry that I have no other details about the birth other than that she's here. I literally just got home from the beach, and it's definitely too late to call the Clark's.

We'll have to set up a baby area at our tailgate party. Ashly Bass Powell is also expecting (a girl) in August. Tiffany Daughtry Carter has an adorable, almost one-year-old daughter too! I'm sure there are others that I don't even know about yet. I can't wait to catch up with everyone in October.

Who are these "hot babes"?

This picture was taken last fall at one of April Odom Taylor's wedding showers. I would like to get some high school pictures from everyone and make a slide show. Unfortunately, we graduated in the days before digital cameras, so everybody get out your pics and start scanning! Please email them to me. I don't want to have photos of only myself on the slide show!

We're still in the process of planning, and the biggest thing we need help with is finding everyone. There are about 50 folks that I have no clue how to locate. Please forward this web-site on to anybody you are still in contact with. Also, I would like to recommend that you get a MySpace account if you don't already have one. It's a GREAT way to keep up with each other.

Please don't forget to email me your contact info (address, phone#, etc). So far I only have LeAnn Qualls' and Heather Walden's. If you have a web page and would like it added to the link list, send it as well!!

As for the music, let me know what other songs you'd like added, and I'll get them on the list! The Vengaboys song is for everyone that went on the senior trip to Cancun! Do ya'll remember those little Mexican guys that would dance around the pool to that song???:)

10 Year Reunion

It's already here! It seems like we just had our five year reunion doesn't it? I know all of you are looking forward to it as much as I am. Homecoming has been tentatively scheduled for Friday, October 10, 2008. Since I'm getting married this fall, I thought I better do as much planning in advance as possible. If you'd like to help or have any ideas give me a call or email me at: mandi.clark@yahoo.com. I would like to have everyone's e-mail and contact info.

Right now the possible plans include:

• Riding in the homecoming parade and attending the pep rally
• Tailgating before the football game
• Dinner on Saturday night (any suggestions?)

UPDATE!

Thanks Ashly Bass Powell and Carl Clark for all of their ideas and help. Carl has us penciled in at Mendoza's Mexican restaurant for Saturday night's dinner and drinks. He's looking into the country club or somewhere else where we might be able to get a band. As soon as we know how many are coming, we'll decide on how much each person/couple will need to pay. I plan to set up a class checking account at one of the local banks. Also, please get me your contact info whether you plan to come or not. I'm still trying to locate everyone and this would help me out!!!
